As you know, there’s been an unauthorized sale of DF3 putters on Costco’s website. This has understandably caused concern and confusion among our partners and customers.
We want to make it absolutely clear that this activity was NOT authorized or initiated by L.A.B. Golf.
We would NEVER make a choice to allow another retailer to undercut you. L.A.B. has become what it has largely because of all of you and the support and patience you have shown us these last few years of L.A.B. madness.
When we learned of the sale, we immediately initiated an investigation to identify how L.A.B. Golf products reached Costco without authorization. We spoke with Costco who informed us that the putters had been purchased on the “grey market” but they would not tell us the name of the retailer that did this, nor would they agree to stop accepting putters from them. I have always had tremendous respect for Costco, but this is extraordinarily disappointing.
Making matters even more frustrating is that we are a few months away from implementing a serialization process that would have likely prevented this or at least allowed us to figure out who did this quickly. Serialization will also help dramatically with the ever-growing counterfeit issue. We will follow up in the coming months on this new system.
Please know that this situation is being treated with the utmost seriousness. We are committed to taking all necessary actions to safeguard the integrity of our brand and protect the interests of our authorized retail and distribution partners.

We are making every effort to professionalize this business, get orders out faster and put protocol in place to avoid things like this in the future.
